This performance was developed as a collaborative response to the exhibition Restor(y)ing the Land, created in partnership with contemporary dancer Lillian Castillo-Müller and sound artist Sonia Gonzalez. Extending the project’s engagement with ritual, memory, and ecological disturbance, the performance explored themes of grief, loss, transformation, and renewal.

Working through improvisational movement and sound, the performance sought to give agency and vitality to the spirits of the lost trees, allowing their presence to be re-activated through embodied and sonic expression. Rather than representing absence, the work foregrounded vitality as a means of remembrance, honouring through this movement and resonance.
